Who we are and what we do
Mission Statement:

Every child deserves to be met with understanding, not assumptions. At Meaningful Metrics, we help families and schools see the whole picture: who your child is, what they need, and how they learn best.
Our mission is to surround your family with the systems, people, and data that make support meaningful. We begin by learning what truly matters to your child and your family, then create a coordinated plan that reflects their unique needs and strengths.
What makes our approach unique is our ability to build a team designed specifically for your family. Each plan brings together the right combination of professionals, including Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs), teachers, speech-language pathologists, reading specialists, and other experts. Our team members work closely with one another and collaborate effectively with schools, related service providers, and community programs.
Through this unified approach, we bridge the gap between home and school and design neuroaffirming, sustainable systems that help every child and the adults who support them grow with confidence and clarity.

You know your child best. We're here to help everyone else understand, support, and celebrate them too.

What Makes Us Different

-
Family-Centered from the Start: We begin by listening. Every plan starts with your goals, your values, and your child’s strengths so that support feels personal and purposeful.
-
Custom-Built Teams: No two families are alike. We design a team that fits your child’s specific needs, bringing together professionals such as BCBAs, teachers, speech-language pathologists, and reading specialists who work collaboratively toward shared goals.
-
Seamless Collaboration Across Settings: Our team communicates consistently with schools, therapists, and community partners to ensure that progress is supported in every environment.
-
Data that Tells a Story: We use data not just to track progress but to reveal what is working and why. Our systems make growth visible and decisions clear for both families and educators.
-
Neuroaffirming, Trauma Informed & Sustainable Practices: Our work honors neurodiversity and focuses on building lasting systems of support that continue to empower families and schools long after our direct involvement ends.

L. Family
"Dr. Heller's impact on our family is not something that we can measure (although she would probably have some cool graph saying otherwise!). Our daughter has gained so many important skills and her future remains bright. We are so grateful for her help over the years!"
School Administrator
"Dr. Heller's ability to bring teams of people together is truly remarkable. She has a honest and true sense of what is best for children and that shines through in every meeting. Not only is she an incredibly knowledgable person but she is an adovcate for those who cannot advocate for themselves first and foremost."
Occupational Therapist
"Dr. Heller is a BCBA who understands and incorporates self regulation, safety and fun into sessions. We have worked so well as a team and the impact on [our shared student] is leaps beyond where I thought it would be this year."
P. Family
"Do you know how amazing Dr. Heller is at her job? I just wish there were more BCBAs like her, that are not only knowledgable and talented, but extremely hard working and kind as well. I never could have imagined my son would be able to function as independently as he does now."
Speech Pathologist
"Talk about collaboration! It takes a village to support a child with unique needs and Dr. Heller certainly knows how to make everyone's voice feel valued and ensure they are part of the process. From parents to teams, she works tirelessly to let everyone's strengths shine and because of that, our clients improve the most!"
S. Family
"Dr. Heller's involvement in his plan ensured everyone understood the correlation between his medical issues, his feelings, and his behaviors. Her diligence and expertise created a plan that not only helped him reach his goals but allowed him the tools to be his strongest advocate. That is noteworthy and we are grateful for her guidance."
